Sharon Mirin asked:

Hair removal products are available in abundance in the market. But how do you know which of these products are safe for your skin? With the products containing chemicals many that use such products do tend to complain of some skin redness and skin irritation. Hence, the need for natural hair removing products has surfaced and many are cashing in on this by letting out products that are termed to be made from natural substances. But no one can be absolutely sure that the products that they are using are free of chemicals and that is why home made natural hair removing products are getting popular.

Waxing is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to remove unwanted hair. Yes, waxing can be painful but the results are good and after waxing the hair taken much longer to grow back. Instead of picking up hair removing wax from the market you can always make your own wax at come from natural substances found in your home. To make homemade wax take two cups of sugar, one fourth cup of water and one fourth cup of lemon juice. Heat this mixture over a low flame and stir regularly until you get a thick brown liquid which is your wax. Once the wax has cooled down to a temperature that you are comfortable with you can apply in onto your skin and place a clean cloth or waxing strip over it. Once it has cooled down completely pull the cloth or strip in the opposite direction of hair growth so that the hair is pulled from its roots. Make sure that you apply ice and astringent to the waxed area to tighten the pores.

One of the oldest methods of hair removal used is sugaring. Sugaring is back in fashion again after a few decades as the newer cosmetic products were preferred over sugaring earlier. The popularity of sugaring has now increased tremendously. It can be done at home by taking one cup of sugar and mixing it with the juice of half a lemon, molasses, corn starch and a bowl of honey. You start off by mixing lemon, honey, sugar and molasses in a bowl and keeping the mixture in a microwave for about 2 to 4 minutes or till you get a smooth consistency. You can also heat up the mixture over a low flame. Now apply corn starch over the area you need to wax and then apply the mixture over it. Corn starch will help in smooth removal of hair. Place a cloth or waxing strips over the area and pull it out once it has cooled down.

Other natural hair removing techniques are tweezing and threading. Tweezing is usually used to remove ****** hair. Tweezing is a slow process as each hair has to be pulled out using tweezers. The pain involved in the process is also much greater. Tweezing is most commonly used to shape eyebrows that are bushy and if repeated over longer periods of time can lead to permanent hair removal. Threading is a common hair removal method that can be used on any part of the body. The usual parts of the body where threading is used are upper lips, chin and eyebrows. But even other parts of the body where there is a patch of hair, threading is useful. Threading requires a lot of attention and detail and is great for people with sensitive skin. Pumice stones can also be used for removing hair from the body except ****** hair.

hair removal products

Maverick Jensen asked:

When it comes to removing hair, there are various methods to choose from. A few are temporary and a few are permanent. Removing unwanted hair is definitely a Herculean task. Let us look at various options that are available for removing hair and judge the effectiveness of each one in this article.

Method 1: Very few people who can bear the pain will choose to go for this hair removal method, which is, waxing. Wax is applied along with a strip of cloth on the area where there is hair and is then peeled off once the wax is cooled. This also yanks out the hair from the follicle root and all. Pain factor is 8.Go for this method only if you are certain that you can withstand pain. No matter what anyone tells you this one method does pack a sting. It is over with in a moment, but it can make you yell the first time it happens. More and more of the men are beginning to get into waxing procedures in order to have a smooth body. They have their chests and backs waxed typically.

Method 2: The latest hair removal method is using lasers. This method is definitely effective and you do get permanent relief from any unwanted hair. A tiny laser beam is applied to the area that is covered with unwanted hair and the heat from the directed beam will manage to destroy the hair root and this will prevent the hair from growing again. The laser treatment is tedious and done in small areas at a time. Many will not be able to go for this method as it is very expensive. If you choose to do this it is a very safe and permanent manner of dealing with hair removal. This may soon become the gold standard of hair removal due to its ease and success.

Method 3: Another method is shaving. Here, foam or any other gel is applied to the skin and the hair is removed with the help of a razor. Even though it is the cheapest method, shaving has to be done every alternative day. If this is not possible, try at least twice a week. The shaved hair readily grows back and as the ends of the hairs are now blunted from being shaved instead of having a tapered end, it will seem as though you have more hair than ever when it grows back after you have started shaving.

Method 4: One of the best and easiest methods of hair removal is the usage of hair removal creams such as Revitol. You just have to apply the hair removal cream on the hair covered areas, leave it for the time mentioned in the pack and rinse it with water. Very simple-and no pain involved in this process. Hair removal creams do not cost you a fortune. They are cheaper and definitely a better method for removing unwanted hair. You may have to use it once a month or twice a month depending on the hair growth.

Revitols hair removal cream is now rated as the number one hair removal cream on the market. They achieved this by producing a product that works, it does what the customer wants. They have a proven track record with great customer care, best prices and products that work.

hair removal products

Quester Peech asked:

Reasons to remove hair

Removal of unwanted body hair has become mandatory according to the norms of modern society. Apart from fashion and cosmetic reasons, there are a few other pertinent reasons why hair removal has become essential. Primary reasons for hair removal include:

Social reasons – By the currently accepted trends in society, unwanted body hair is considered a sign of an un-groomed person. To be seen as socially acceptable, a person therefore needs to remove unwanted body hair.

For sexual reasons – A smooth silky skin is considered sexually attractive. Many men and women therefore remove body hair to attract members of the opposite ***. Besides, removal of body hair is considered to be a sexual turn on.

For hygiene – Body hair is also removed for hygiene purpose. Body hair holds germs and sweat and thus removal of body hair from the armpits for instance prevents odor caused by the bacteria normally trapped in the hair working in combination with natural sweat. By removing body hair therefore, a person feels and looks lot cleaner.

Hair removal methods

Hair removal methods can be broadly categorized as temporary and permanent methods. Some of the popular methods have been discussed below:

Temporary methods of hair removal

Waxing – A common method of hair removal that involves application of thin layer of wax on to the skin and is then quickly removed using a strip of paper or cloth. Results last for 3-6 weeks.

Sugaring – This is similar to waxing and can be done easily at home. Sugaring can be painful but also has longer lasting results than say, shaving or using depilatory creams.

Threading – This method involves the use of twisted thread to pull out hair. Mostly used to remove hair from upper lips, forehead, and chin and also to shape eyebrows.

Use of depilatories – Hair removal creams and hair growth inhibitor creams are applied over the skin and removed after few minutes. The action of chemical dissolves the hair allowing it to be easily brushed off the skin.

Epilators – A number of hand held electronic devices are available on the market that helps to pull off unwanted hair from the body.

Permanent methods of hair removal

Electrolysis – This method makes use of shortwave radio frequency to remove body hair permanently. This method is expensive, painful, time consuming and works well for people with light skin and grey hair. Side effects include dry skin, inflammation, scarring and risk of infection.

Laser – This method involves sending energy into the pigment of the hair shaft whereby the hair follicle gets damaged and the growth of new hair is inhibited permanently. This method is effective and popular, however it is expensive, painful and time consuming.

The efficacy of this method depends a lot on the doctor or beautician who is handling the treatment. Laser is quite commonly used to remove hair from upper lip, chin, pubic hair, and also to define eyebrow shape.

About pubic hair removal

Many men and women prefer to remove pubic hair for aesthetic or sexual reasons. Pubic hair removal makes the ******* area more visible and accessible as the barrier of hair is removed. Many people find smooth pubic region sexually attractive, while many people prefer it for hygienic reason.

Various methods of pubic hair removal are available today. A person may choose the most preferable method depending on the pain threshold, budget and skin type. Some of the popularly applied temporary methods of pubic hair removal are shaving, waxing and use of depilatory creams. Men and women who wish to remove the pubic hair permanently make use of laser and electro-therapy devices.

Rio scan laser – permanent hair removal

The Rio scan laser is fast emerging as one of the most popular hair removal methods. The innovative device offers the convenience to get rid of unwanted body hair from face, arms, legs, chest, back and even the pubic region permanently from the convenience of your home.

Rio scan laser emits laser beam deep on to the hair follicle and destroys it so the growth of new hair is prevented.
