Mike Jones asked:

One of the most time consuming and frustrating parts of bodybuilding is not building muscles, it’s removing unwanted hair.

For any competing bodybuilder, hair removal is a must but it’s also growing in popularity among casual bodybuilders.

Permanent Methods

Before looking at recommendations for specific body areas it should be stated that laser hair removal or electrolysis are regarded as the only permanent hair removal methods.

Although the most effective, they are also the most expensive! For full information on laser hair removal and electrolysis, visit this Laser Research Library: about-hair-removal.com/Laser-Library

Here is checklist of body areas and recommended hair removal methods for each:

Upper Lip, Chin, Mustache and Beard -

Men: Shaving.

Women: Waxing or sugaring.

Back of Neck –

Men: Shaving, clipping.

Women: Waxing or sugaring

Chest –

Waxing, shaving, depilatories.

CAUTION: Some find the shaving option unacceptable due to the irritation it causes when stubble reappears shortly afterwards. There can also be an acute problem with ingrown hairs in some cases. Once the shaving option is taken for chest hair removal it will need to be done regularly.

Nipples –

Tweezing. Stretch the skin slightly, grip the hair close to the root, and pull gently, firmly and evenly. Yanking the hair may cause it to break off thus increasing the risk of ingrown hair.

Shoulders, Back, Arms, Hands, Tummy –

Waxing, sugaring, depilatories. Waxing or Sugaring is the best method for all these areas. Taking a shower directly after waxing the back helps eliminate the possibility of acne breakouts and skin redness.

Underarms -

Shaving is safe in this area. Hair under the arm grows in all directions so a side to side stroke as well as up and down strokes may be necessary to catch all the hairs. Do not apply deodorants or antiperspirants right after shaving as this can cause acute irritation and soreness. Waxing or sugaring are also safe.

Do not use depilatories to avoid the risk of chemical burns on the sensitive skin in this area.

After the skin in this area has become accustomed to shaving, applying a thin layer of Vaseline petroleum jelly instead of a shaving foam or gel will give a really close shave.

Pubic Area and Bikini Line -If the hair is long it can be cut down with scissors. Then use a waxing or sugaring solution. Careful shaving is also possible.

Genitals – Male –

Hair growing on the shaft of the ***** and on the ********* can be removed by shaving using a new wet razor. Great care is needed to avoid cuts.

Genitals – Female –

Waxing or sugaring is generally best. Shaving will only cause stubble to appear after a few days and it may cause skin irritation and painful bumps.

Anus and Perineum –

The Perineum is the area of skin rich in nerve endings located below the ****. In men it extends to the base of the testicles, in women to the vaginal opening. The **** is a mucous membrane. Depilatories should not be used as they can result in serious damage. Shaving produces stubble which may cause irritation as the sides chafe and rub together. Waxing or sugaring are the best methods.

Legs, Feet, Toes –

Shaving the legs is popular but the hair grows back after a short time. Waxing or sugaring are preferred although you have to wait until there is about a quarter of an inch of growth.

For detailed instructions on each of the hair removal methods mentioned above for bodybuilders, check out the resource below:

Painless Hair Removal

Will Edison asked:

There are numerous advantages to having a laser hair removal product available for consumers to take home and treat themselves. Laser hair removal is one of the most effective methods of hair removal in terms of permanence and is very safe when used properly. Now anyone can take the laser machine home and apply the treatment to themselves as many times as necessary without having to pay for multiple sessions at a clinic.

The technique of using a laser to prevent hair from re-growing has been around for many years now. It works by targeting the root of the hair follicle and heating it with a laser until the hair is damaged and stops growing. It is much more effective than temporary solutions like shaving or waxing and much less painful than electrolysis which uses needles to send electric charges to damage the root of the hair.

A home laser hair removal machine saves people from having to spend time and effort in scheduling a visit to the clinic. Most people are too busy to make the appointment and do the necessary research, but now they have the ability to buy a product that allows them to receive the same treatment on their own time.

It can cost anything from $1,000 to $3,000 for the entire treatment at a clinic performed by a doctor. This is the approximate total cost of treating a typically sized area while a home device is more affordable costing around $800 to $1,000. Since laser hair removal requires multiple treatments over time to remove most of the hair, a take home device allows the consumer to do the procedure themselves and additional touch ups at no additional cost.

These products are quite effective and typically reduce hair by 50-80% when used properly. The results typically last over a year and touch ups are only needed about every other year. Of course to get optimal results would require regular treatment every 2 to 4 weeks for approximately 4 to 8 months and depends on the individual.

hair removal products

Tom Cruz asked:

When you have unwanted hair, you can use a hair removal product to help rid yourself of
This problem. There are many of these products on the market for you to choose from.
The different methods you can use include shaving, waxing, tweezing, applying creams
and using more permanent methods of laser and electrolysis. With the exception of laser
treatment, you can use products to help you get rid of the hair by yourself at home.

Shaving is the most common method of removal. This is something that you have to
do every three or four days. You need a razor and shaving cream or you can use an
electric shaver. Shaving does have a downside though. There will be bumps and possible
cuts if you are using a razor and you may experience a slight rash with either method.

Tweezing the eyebrows or some ****** hair on the chin and upper lip is also effective as it
keeps the growth at bay for weeks at a time. It can be painful if you have to remove
lots of it. For eyebrow tweezing, you do have to be careful to make sure that you have
both eyebrows the same.

Applying creams dilutes the hair. You do have to leave the cream on for up to ten or
fifteen minutes and then wash it off. It washes off with the cream. The problem
with this method is that there is a strong smell to some of the creams and some people
may have an allergic reaction to the cream. If this is something you can use, the results
will last for several weeks before you have to redo the process.

Waxing is very commonly used by women to remove eyebrow, ****** hair and hair from
the bikini area. In this process, hot wax is applied to a small area and covered with
material. Then it is pulled off very quickly. Although it is painful and leaves the treated
area red, it does last for several weeks before you have to repeat the process. It
also has to be at least ¼ inch long before you can remove it by waxing.

hair removal products

Peter Gitundu asked:

Before you think about hair removal products, you must understand what exactly hair removal is and what methods are available for you to choose from. Hair removal involves getting rid of unwanted hair on the affected part of the skin. There are several methods you can use to achieve this and the major reason why people remove hair is to achieve a desired look that is pleasing and more acceptable. The methods might be temporary or more permanent. When you remove hair to last for several hours to several days, it is called depilation and the ways you may do this is by friction where hair is buffed away by rough surfaces. The other is the use of depilatories and this is the use of creams to dissolve the unwanted hair. You can also achieve depilation by use of trimming or shaving. Each method comes with products for the hair removal to achieve the desired results.

Removal that lasts several days and several weeks is called epilation and the methods that can be used include tweezing, waxing sugaring, threading and the use of rotary epilators which pull out the hair from its roots. All these methods will also require products to make the removal a success. The more permanent methods include electrolysis, laser, flash lamp and very many others which are legal and illegal. When you are thinking of depilatories, hair removal products are the creams and lotions used to make sure that the hair is dissolved. One particular brand is veet. You will find so many other products on the internet and magazines that will have the same function. The first thing you should know before you buy any product is that it needs to be properly tested to be declared safe for consumers.

Other hair removal products for the bikini line include shaver and cosmetic groomer kits, tweezer systems, roll on waxers, hair vanishing creams and so many others. For the eyebrows, you can have eyebrow shapers, eyebrow sealers, electrolysis pen and so many others. For ingrown hair there are many hair removal products like bump treatments and bump blasters. For more permanent hair removal, products can be electrolysis hair removal system and others. Products for men include shampoo, trimmers, shavers and shave creams and the list is endless. All this products come in various brands and it is upon you to choose the brand that you feel that might serve you better.

Some of the brands include Panasonic, Andis, Andre and others. You can choose many categories of products from the huge collection in the market. If you do not know how a certain product is used, do not attempt to use it if you do not understand the instructions. You must consult a specialist who can give you an overview into some of these products. Many people have been harmed and it will be helpful to take the caution seriously. If you find that certain products are not working for you, see how you can get other products that are available in the market.

hair removal products

Maverick Jensen asked:

Are you wondering if hair removal creams are safe and effective? The honest answer to this question is that they are safe and are the best way to remove hair if used properly. All the best hair removal creams use chemicals, but they are no where near harmful if you use the product as the directions say.

There is a huge list of different options for people to pick from when it comes to removing hair. But studies have shown that hair removal creams are one of the best and safest ways to remove hair. All hair removal methods have their pros and cons but hair removal creams would be by far the easiest to use of all hair removal options.

But, how do hair removal creams work? When you use a hair removal cream on your skin, the product starts a chemical reaction with the proteins within your skin and specifically the root of the hair. Using a cream to removing is probably the least time consuming way to manage your hair.

The advantages of this kind of treatment to remove hair are: It’s by far the easiest way to remove hair, all you have to do is apply the cream. The user of the cream can use at their own discretion, allowing them to use the cream as they feel they need to. It’s said that hair removal creams are only needed to be used every 3 weeks. but if you feel you need to use more regularly it is safe to do so.

There are other treatments available to remove hair such as laser and electrolysis treatments work pretty well. But these options are only available in a medical environment. These particular treatments are extremely expensive, and are not in the budget of most people. That’s why hair removal creams are becoming so popular, as they are much more cost effective.

The best hair removal cream on the market is Revitols hair removal cream. It is currently rated as the number one cream on the market. Why? Because it works. When it comes down to buying a product you want one that works like it claims too. Revitol have a proven track record with customer care, best prices and a product that works.

hair removal products

Maverick Jensen asked:

People are always concerned about their appearance, therefore they are always shaving, waxing and tweezing. These methods are traditional and take a lot of time and can be frustrating particularly for body hair removal. Whether it be body hair removal on the back, chest or wherever, you want your body hair removal treatment to be effective and fast.

By far the best way to keep your body hair well groomed and looking clean and cut is by using a hair removal cream. But why do hair removal creams work? When you apply the hair removal cream to your skin, the ingredients in the cream react with the proteins in your skin, specifically the root of the hair. Using a hair removal cream is easily the most cost effective and least time consuming method available.

There are many advantages of using a hair removal cream for body hair removal. To start with they are the easiest and least frustrating method. The individual can use the cream at their own discretion, allowing you to make your own decisions to when you use the cream. Usually creams only have to be used every 3 week, but this is up to the individual. The more regularly you use your hair removal cream the finer and slower the hair grows back making it more manageable.

There are numerous other treatments for body hair removal. Such as laser and electrolysis, and they work pretty well. The down side to these treatments is that they cost a small fortune. Unfortunately they can’t match up to the cost effectiveness of a hair removal cream.

Hair removal creams are becoming amazingly popular due to their cost and effectiveness. But which one is the best cream, the best cream is from Revitol. Their cream is rated as the number one hair removal on market. Why is their cream so successful? It’s simple, it works. When it comes down to it people want a product that works, a product that does what it claims. Their customer service and prices is also a major contributor to their success.

hair removal products

Max Suther asked:

Unwanted ****** hair can be a major problem for men and especially women. There are several ways to remove ****** hair and there are many products on the market that can help. This article will discuss a few of the best ways to remove ****** hair.

Shaving – Of course this method has been used by men and women, but we don’t recommend that women shave their ****** hair. This method is only temporary and the hair grows back within a short period of time.

Tweezing – Many women use tweezers to pluck unwanted ****** hair but this method has problems. The good side of tweezing ****** hair is that it takes the root out and therefore the hair does not grow back too fast. The bad side of tweezing ****** hair is that it is painful and takes a long time to do a small area.

Waxing – Waxing is used on women’s legs and other areas but it also can be used for ****** hair. This method is just as painful as tweezing but it is faster. Normally you will only have to wax once a month. Be careful and try this method on a small section of your face to make sure you don’t have a bad reaction.

Electrolysis – This method is permanent but can be expensive and time consuming. The method basically burns the hair root and therefore the hair can’t come back. It will take several sessions to make sure all of the roots are destroyed.

Depilatories – There are several creams, lotions, and gels that remove ****** hair. These can be strong chemicals and therefore try a small section of your face first to see if it works and to make sure you don’t have a reaction to the chemicals. Laser – Laser removal is expensive and must be performed by a licensed individual. The method may not be permanent and takes several treatments. It’s advantage is that it is less painful then other methods. There are many ways to remove unwanted ****** hair and we have briefly discussed a few. There are also natural home remedies that you can try.

hair removal products
