what’s the most painless way of removing hair on the upper lip?

instead of the normal white end of the hair when it falls off or plucks out, the end of my beard hair that i plucked out was just pure black.. it was soft too, like gelatin even.

so, please tell me what’s wrong with it, or if that’s normal.
