Leg Hair Removal: Traditional Way or Modern Way?
Posted by: | Comments
When did removing a woman’s leg hair start?
Leg hair removal became more popular, when the trends of fashion dress become shorter. When being totally “hot and sexy” means you need to show off some skin. This started in the turn of the 20th century. During these days the hemlines became skimpier that women soon realized the need to remove leg hair.
Nowadays, removing leg hair has become a habitual stuff for women. From teenagers to women in the late 30’s, all of them consider leg hair removal a NECESSITY. Why? Simply because they want to have smooth and beautiful legs. They take care of their legs using different products, making it more attractive to others.
Feeling good about the way you look can be advantageous. It can improve your personal life, get you a lifetime partner, or even make it possible to excel in your career.
But let’s face the reality; with so many ways to choose from, how will you know which method will give you the best results? Choosing the right method for hair removal is crucial. That’s why I want to help you by giving you some of the best traditional and modern ways of getting rid of leg hair.
Shaving
This is the most commonly used traditional method when it comes to leg hair removal. It is cheaper compared to other methods and can easily be done at home. Shaving is also considered an effective way to exfoliate your skin and shorten the hair. However, regular shaving may also give you skin irritations and skin darkening.
Waxing
Waxing is an “improved version” of a traditional leg hair removal, which is sugaring. The process is quite the same in every way. Putting a thin layer of substance and pulling out the hair using a piece of cloth or paper. Nowadays, there are different products available on the market which you can use for this method.
Leg Waxing can also be done at home or in a beauty spa. Compared to shaving, waxing can definitely give you smoother legs for a longer time. I must admit though, that this method is rather painful.
Cream Depilation
This modern method is the easiest one you can use. If you don’t want to go and bother yourself with a lot of procedures, then this is the best for you. All you need is to buy a depilatory cream and apply it on the area where you want the hair removed and wash it off with water. However, there are some disadvantages you should also consider. Some of the chemicals may cause skin allergies. So if you have a sensitive skin, might as well consult with your physician first.
Laser Treatment
This is the most popular modern method of leg hair removal. I must warn you though, this can be rather costly. However, laser treatments offer a very long lasting result. You can get silky legs within 3-4 sessions. Some people who use this treatment say this will slow down your hair growth. So it might take some time before you get those unwanted leg hair growing again.
Now you know what advantages and disadvantages you can get from particular methods of leg hair removal. So are you going for the traditional way or the modern way? Well, what matters is you should pick the one which you know is best for you.
